Educational Objectives of the Programme
The programme aims to produce professionals who can:
- Consider relevant theories and practices and demonstrate the ability to generate new and creative knowledge to become effective and inspiring professionals.
- Analyse critically, synthesize understanding of professional knowledge sources, and mature professional practice to solve significant problems.
- Planner executes innovative projects, research initiatives, write dissertations for building purposes and apply knowledge for the benefit of the profession and society as a whole.
- Lead and anticipate knowledge generation and fight for the intellectual property rights and recognition of original works by others, guarding against plagiarism and other academic violations.
Programme Learning Outcomes
At the end of this Master’s programme, students will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of current research in specific educational research areas.
- Identify research techniques for acquiring, interpreting, and expanding educational knowledge in specific educational research areas.
- Design and carry out professional and ethical research.
- Demonstrate the ability to come up with ideas, critical thinking skills, and rational conclusions among peers, experts, and non-experts in at least one international language.
- Develop the ability to communicate, lead, and collaborate in building new knowledge.
- Use appropriate digital technology to integrate numerical and graphical or visual data to support research findings.
- Use appropriate software to improve the quality of research, especially in the processing of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Demonstrate leadership, independence, and autonomy and responsibility in the classroom and the group.
- Emphasize self-development through continuous academic progress and initiate entrepreneurial project development.
- Demonstrate adherence to legal, ethical, and professional decision making.
Minimum Entry Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent, as accepted by the Senate PPT; or
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.50 and does not reach CGPA of 2.75, may be accepted depending on thorough internal assessment through interviews conducted by the Faculty; or
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent but not CGPA of 2.50, admissible subject to a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Non-education students are required to show high interest in the field of education.
- International Students required to achieve the score minimum of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.

Applications for admission should be accompanied by a brief research proposal containing the title, subfield, and research questions.
Tuition Fees (Full-Time and Part-Time Study Schemes)
RM10, 200** for Local Students
RM 20, 400** for International Students
Lecturer / Supervisor
The faculty and supervisor of the dissertation for the programme consist of qualified lecturers in related fields at the Masters and Doctoral degrees. A total of 14 of them graduated with a doctorate. Two lecturers hold professors, four Associate Professors, while the other is Senior Lecturers in the field either locally or overseas.
