Setyawan Widyarto finished his first degree from IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia in 1986. He then studied in Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia for enabling him to teach in polytechnics there. In 1997 under the British Council sponsorship, Chevening Award, he pursued his Masters of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering and Management from the University of Bradford, England. In 1998 he was granted an international scholarship from the University of Sheffield and studied Advanced Automatic Control and System Engineering. In 2008 he graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with his PhD in Computer Science. His research interest is in computing, advanced management and system engineering related fields. He has industrial and academic experience of more than 30 years. Since 2008, he has been working with Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), Malaysia and is an Associate Professor in Industrial Computing and has supervised masters and doctoral students. Setyawan is a professional in higher education management and is currently the Dean of Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS).
