Born on 26th August 1978 in Kuala Lumpur, Ts. Dr. Irny Suzila Ishak was appointed as a lecturer at University Selangor on the 2nd of June 2003. Currently she has been appointed as senior lecturer in the Faculty of Communication, Visual Art and Computing. At the same time, she also holds administrative position as the Deputy Director of Quality Management Unit in Corporate Governance and Quality Assurance Office (CGQA). Previously, she was the Head of Information Systems Cluster and Training Coordinator at Computing Department, Faculty of Communication, Visual Art and Computing, Head of Program for Bachelor of Information Technology (SCM) and Head of Developer for Bachelor of Information Technology (SCM) programme. She was also one of the development committee members for Master in Information Technology and Diploma Multimedia Industry programme. She obtained her PhD in Information Systems in September 2016, and Master of Science (Computer Science) by research in 2004, and Bachelor of Science (Computer) in 2000 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Her research interests are in Strategic ICT Planning, Strategic Planning, ICT Innovation, Strategic Information System Planning Methodology, ICT implementation in Public IHL and Research Institutes and ICT Benchmarking, Big Data Analytics and IoT. Her master research title is Designing Strategic Information Systems Planning Methodology for Malaysian IHLs and her PhD research title is Strategic ICT Planning Methodology to promote innovation in organization.
