Brief Biography

  1. Actively involved in research and possesses excellent teaching skills. Awarded with Excellent Research Award and Royal Chancellor’s Excellence Doctoral Award in 2012 for outstanding research work. To date, 4 research projects with grants amounting to more than RM300 000.00 have been completed (2 FRGS, 1 PRGS, 1 UiTM Grant, 2 Unisel Bestari Grant). Meanwhile, 4 ongoing research grant projects are currently progressing towards completion. Has authored 3 academic reference books and published more than 20 refereed scientific papers and proceedings with h-index of 9. Has taught more than 500 engineering students and currently supervising 5 PhD candidates. Demonstrated the ability to perform well in management duty as the Dean of Faculty of Engineering from 2013 to 2015. During that time, 3 accreditation exercises from EAC have taken placed and were successfully audited. Held a new post later in 2017 till early 2018 as the Deputy Dean Academic of a newly merging faculty, Faculty of Engineering & Life Sciences
