Dr. Hazeeq Hazwan bin Azman is currently a Deputy Dean of Academic Affair for Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS) and the coordinator for STEM Unisel, Universiti Selangor since 2016. He was graduated from Imperial College London for PhD in Chemistry (Microbiology) in 2016. Studying in London for 5 years along with his MRes in Green Chemistry, he developed a strong passion in STEM education and joined a lot of outreach program in London especially the one conducted by British Science Museum. His interest of research is not limited to STEM education but Green Chemistry especially the ionic liquids, biorefinery, biomass and bioremediation as translated in his publications.
Throughout the years, Dr. Hazeeq and his team are active in several STEM outreach programmes collaborated with National STEM Association. Under his coordination, the team has reached a lot of achievements including Golds and Special Awards in Malaysian Technology Expo for 3 years in a row (2018-2020). Apart from NSA, he is a member of Royal Society in Chemistry, UK and Microbiology Society UK and secured STEM grants with MOSTI and MBPJ along with bioplastic-based research grant with the Selangor government. He is looking forward to collaborate with any eager scientist and future postgraduate students to explore interesting research together.
