Izyani Mat Rusni was born on 12th December 1979 in Selangor, Malaysia. She received the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Communication and Computer, in 2001 and Master of Engineering in Communication and Computer in 2003 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She completed her PhD in Electronic Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2017.
She works at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) as a senior lecturer in Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences and currently she holds an administrative post as a Deputy Director for Corporate Governance and Quality Assurance Office in UNISEL.
Her teaching fields are mainly in communication system, computer organization and architecture as well as electronic engineering. Her current research interests lie in the area of sensor technology, nanotechnology, materials properties for RF/Microwave/Terahertz applications.
